The earthquake that struck Morocco's Al Haouz province on September 8, 2023, was the strongest instrumentally-detected earthquake in national history, the deadliest since the 1960 Agadir earthquake. Nearly three million people from Marrakesh and the region surrounding the Atlas mountains were affected, including 100,000 children. Many countries offered humanitarian assistance, and Morocco held a three-day pause, for national mourning. Knopf Honey also offered its own modest, proportionate family-sized support, joining the effort in a time of great challenge for the Moroccan people. Our thoughts and hearts are with them.
